Tips for humanitarian grant applications

To decrease processing delays, Rotarians are encouraged to submit to The Rotary Foundation as early in the Rotary year (1 July) as possible Matching Grant applications, District Simplified Grant requests, and 3-H grant proposals. The final deadline is 31 March.

Keep the following reminders and tips in mind to help ensure the submission process goes smoothly.

Reminders

  • New applications are entered into the system in the order they’re received.
  • Application acknowledgements and the corresponding file numbers are e-mailed to the primary contacts listed in the application.
  • During March and April, it can take up to 15 business days for staff to acknowledge receipt of new applications.

 Submission tips

  • Make a copy of the application for your records.
  • Keep a record of the date, method, and to what address or fax number the application was sent.
  • Submit only one copy of the application to The Rotary Foundation. Sending multiple copies may cause an additional delay in processing the application.
  • If you haven’t received a filing number in an acknowledgment letter after 15 working days, send a request for confirmation of application receipt via e-mail .
  • To submit an application by e-mail, send it to contact.center@rotary.org . In the subject line, identify it as a new request and name the country where the project will take place, for example, “New Matching Grant request – Mexico” or “New DSG request – Canada.”
